Michael Amador

CEO, Willamette Valley IT
I’m Michael Amador, founder of Willamette Valley IT, where we specialize in dental technology solutions that keep practices secure, compliant, and running smoothly. Having married into a multi-generational dental family—my wife, her father, uncle, grandfather, and cousin are all dentists—I understand the unique IT challenges dental professionals face, from HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity to managing software like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental.

With a five-minute response time and a consultative, value-driven approach, I help dental practices eliminate IT stress so they can focus on patient care. I also host Bytes and Bristles, a podcast exploring emerging dental technologies and industry trends.

Beyond IT, I’m passionate about combat martial arts, photography, traveling, cocktails, and spending time with my family. Being with my tribe recharges me and fuels my drive to build something meaningful for my clients.

Gosta Miller

Lead Technician, Willamette Valley IT
I have been working with IT technology in the dental field since 1998. Over the years, I have witnessed the incredible evolution of technology—from computers being used solely for scheduling and basic tasks to becoming an integral part of everyday operations. As technology has advanced, so has my expertise in providing reliable IT solutions that enhance efficiency and streamline workflows for dental professionals.

Having lived in Portland for most of my life, I take pride in supporting local businesses and helping dental practices stay ahead with cutting-edge technology, seamless integrations, and dependable technical support. One of the reasons I enjoy working with WVIT is that, as a local company, we can provide a level of service that nationwide providers simply can’t compete with. We understand the unique needs of our community and are committed to delivering hands-on, personalized IT solutions that keep dental practices running smoothly.

On a personal note, my dogs are my world. Whether it’s daily walks, hiking through the Pacific Northwest, or camping under the stars, they’re always by my side. When I’m not working with technology, you’ll likely find me exploring the outdoors with my four-legged companions.

Cambrie Murray

Technical Support Engineer, Willamette Valley IT
Hi, I’m Cambrie, an IT Technician at Willamette Valley IT, specializing in dental technology solutions. My journey into IT wasn’t traditional—I started in airline hospitality, but when the COVID-19 pandemic changed my career path, I found myself presented with a new opportunity to delve into the unfamiliar world of technology. Now, I help dental professionals optimize their IT infrastructure, ensuring their systems run smoothly and securely.

Originally from southern Oregon, I attended and graduated high school early in Reno, Nevada, before moving to Portland to pursue my career. My background in customer service has given me a strong foundation in problem-solving and communication, which I bring to every client interaction. I enjoy troubleshooting complex IT issues and finding the best solutions to keep dental practices operating efficiently.

Outside of work, I love exploring Portland’s incredible food and cocktail scene, traveling, and immersing myself in performance arts. When I’m not out and about, you can usually find me playing video games or watching movies and TV shows.

I’m always excited to learn and grow in the IT field, and I take pride in helping our clients navigate their technology needs with confidence.

Daren Gaut

Technical Support Engineer, Willamette Valley IT

I may be new to Willamette Valley IT, but I’ve been in customer service and support for years. As a Technical Support Engineer, my focus is solving IT challenges and keeping clients running smoothly.

I grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, and my career started unexpectedly—selling Kirby vacuums door-to-door at 16. That experience, along with a woodworking career that followed, taught me perseverance, problem-solving, and hands-on learning—skills I use daily in IT.

My love for technology started in the late ’70s when I got my first computer and became obsessed with how it worked. I later studied Network Administration at Trident Technical School, but my real expertise comes from years of hands-on experience in the field.

Outside of work, I’m an IoT enthusiast, always tinkering with connected devices. When I’m not immersed in tech, I’m watching movies, gaming, tackling the Honey-Do list, or enjoying the outdoors with my family and dog.
